The top two ATX Open doubles teams showed form worthy of their seedings Saturday, each dropping just five games to reach the championship match.
Top seeds Nicole Melichar-Martinez and Ellen Perez needed just 61 minutes for a 6-3, 6-2 win over Ingrid Neel and Olivia Tjandramulia while second seeds Erin Routliffe and Adila Sutjiadi defeated Anna-Lena Friedsam and Nadiia Kichenok 6-2, 6-3 in one hour.
This is the fifth final Melichar-Martinez and Perez have reached together and they are seeking a second title as a team. Melichar-Martinez has won 12 times on Tour and is into her 28th final. Her partner, Perez, is playing her 14th final with hopes of a sixth title.
Sunday will be the first time Routliffe and Sutjiadi have reached a final together. Routliffe is seeking a third career title while playing her ninth final. Sutjiadi, who was a winner at Auckland in January, is playing for a third title in the fourth final of her career.
The ATX Open doubles championship will be played at 4 p.m. Sunday.
