Inspiring, empowering and improving the lives of women and the next generation through tennis.
Google and Austin Community Foundation have partnered with the Dropshot Tournament Series to recognize the incredible women participating in the ATX Open, and their successes, both on and off the court. These partners share the belief that investment in women has a proven ripple effect, benefiting not just her family but her greater community.
The Catalyst Award, which launched in 2021, will be awarded on March 2 at the ATX Open, to a competing tennis player who has been a role model to others, is involved in her community, and advocates for women through the sport of tennis. In addition to a $25,000 cash grant to the award recipient’s charity of choice, the Catalyst Award will support the Women’s Fund at Austin Community Foundation with individual donations and other forms of support.
Google has committed to match every donation made to the Austin Community Foundation during Catalyst Award Night, up to $10,000, and all donations of $100 or more qualify for a $15 Athleta gift card.*
Through the Catalyst Award, we have the opportunity to celebrate the outstanding athletes that will come from around the globe to compete in Austin while simultaneously empowering the local women that call Austin home.
*gift cards will be delivered to the donor digitally in the days following the tournament.
The Women’s Fund focuses on the needs of women and children in Central Texas across four primary impact areas: housing, child care, education and women’s health. Driven by data and community voice, the Women’s Fund has granted over $3 million to more than 80 local nonprofits since its founding in 2004.Donate Today
In addition to the Catalyst Award and associated fundraising for Austin Community Foundation’s Women’s Fund, the ATX Open is committed to using the platform of professional tennis to raise funds and awareness for other Austin-based organizations.
