Tuesday night we proudly honored former USTA standout and two-time Texas State Champion Fernanda Contreras. A Westlake graduate, she captured back-to-back state titles in 2014 and 2015 before making history at Vanderbilt as the program’s all-time leader in career singles wins with 136 victories, earning NCAA All-American honors in 2017. Contreras also went on to compete in all four Grand Slams and represent Mexico in the Billie Jean King Cup. As an important member of our ATX Open tennis community, we wish her a happy retirement off the court.
