Tournament week began Sunday night as players, partners and invited guests gathered at The Driskill for the official ATX Open Player Party.

Set inside one of downtown Austin’s most iconic venues, the evening combined cocktails, dinner and live music with player appearances, creating a relaxed but celebratory start to the week. DJ DmoCobb set the soundtrack, while guests rotated through Austin guest portraits and live engraving by Amanda Reid, adding personalized details throughout the space.

Western flair carried across the night as West Hill Hat Bar crafted custom cowboy and fedora hats for players, quickly becoming one of the standout activations. From understated neutrals to bold statement pieces, each hat reflected the individuality of the athletes wearing them.

Venus Williams made a special appearance, drawing a crowd as she added her own brushstroke to Ash Almonte’s live painting. The finished artwork, shaped in part by one of the sport’s legends, will be available via silent auction Thursday in the Cadillac Club. Williams also selected a custom hat before rejoining the celebration.
